I used mine today at Katies, Target and Coles. It costs no more at these places, and depending on the dollar spend, I decide whether I am prepared to pay another 1 or 1.5 (sometimes 2%) to get double points.

How many points would you need for two return flights to New York? I have never looked at the flight information and could have a look, but thought you might know and save me the frustration.

Absolutely Marty :). I think the last time I cashed in for vouchers was 18 months ago for Christmas and I have enough points for just shy of $1800 in vouchers in that time. I think it is very worthwhile, but I do pay it off each month.

We have ours as part of our "professional" package so no annual fees. It would be worth asking if they will waive the fees if you don't have a package although I think the fee might only be $95 per annum (?).

I have Amex linked to my Westpac card and I use it for anything that accepts it, unless there is an extra charge involved (in which case I decide case by case). I do my Coles groceries using Amex. That adds up very quickly with a family of four adults and one teen, believe me :eek...
