This kitchen was installed in the house we renovated last year. The costs were:
cupboards - $1800
stove - $ 600
tiles - $ 1 each
sink (2nd hd)$ 35
taps $ 60
double doors $ 80
carpentry $1000 (the timber floor is new...was concrete before)

Amazing what a lick of paint and 20+ tubes of no more gaps (wonderful stuff for the dado boards and all those non wet areas) will do. Flat pack kitchen cost around $1200. Curtains and lounge covering by my very talented wife.Exit the daggy beige carpet and hello to some wonderful cyprus pine...
It isn't a big building (about 5.5m x 8 m) so we had to make the most of what space we had. It started out as a bare shell. No water to main building and no hot water or sewer, only the old septic.
Well I just completed this BUT unfortunately didn't take b4 shots as I rushed down to start the work & forgot the camera at home, picture the cupboards being light brown, 2 doors missing due (curtain hung instead) to an old dishwasher being there, brown wall tiles, etc...

This is the after - total budget including appliances, benches with inbuilt sinks, lighting - $6K (we splurged a bit 'cos its our PPOR) and we can't find any decent IP to spend our money on :p
this is the kitchen in our PPOR after we took it over from tenants .... Excuse the furry intruders ... the idea was they were allowed in the new place till we renovated then they could become outside dogs... didn't happen :-)
