    Wealth Creation Through Commercial Property

    Commercial Property is a often neglected method of wealth creation, mainly due to the perceived complexities & risks associated with the sector. However many successful property investors have thrived in the commercial space, so what do they know that we don't? This session will discuss the attractions of commercial property as well as the pitfalls.

    The discussion will cover a range of aspects including:

    * Why buy commercial
    * The different types of commercial properties available, and their inherent characteristics
    * What to look for when buying
    * How to value a commercial property
    * Finance for commercial property
    * Ownership structures & taxation considerations

    Martyn is the CEO & Owner of the Parkhill Financial Group, a diversified professional services business delivering Accounting, Financial Planning, Insurance, Finance, Business Consultancy & Marketing services. Martyn is also a practicing Licensed Financial Adviser, and manages a portfolio of assets in excess of $100 million for his clientele. A strong believer in practicing what you preach, Martyn, at age 29 has accumulated a range of assets including shares, residential property, commercial property, holiday accommodation and interest in a range of private businesses. In his spare time Martyn loves reading books about investing & business as well as tinkering around on his rural property just outside Queanbeyan.

He has been involved in the Queanbeyan LJ Hooker sales team for over four years. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Charles Sturt University & three years honing his marketing & selling skills in the media industry, James is pleased to offer professional service when buying or selling. James is experienced with over 160 sales, and is interested in all things real estate.

    Hey Craigb,

    It was a quieter month then the norm!
    Speakers were great though and the guys that did turn up all enjoyed the night.
    I think day light savings starts soon so that will be good & to see some warmer days out too. Still too many cold nights :eek:

    While it's good that you are organising these meetings, you have been around for a while now- and every post you have made is promoting your meetings or somebody else's meetings.

    While people in Canberra do appreciate your meetings, it might be regarded as good form to give something back to the forum. You are obviously interested in property, and have experienced a lot of good information from good people, and could probably contribute well- I'd encourage you to do so.

    Thanks for feedback and will try to contribute more to the forum.
    I have encouraged speakers & investors to come onto this site as it has lots of info on all of the areas.
