3 titles - 1 lot of Rates?

If you own 1 block with 3 titles, do you you pay 1 lot of rates, or 3?

What about when you have 1 title with 2 dwellings?

I have a dual occ in Blacktown Council. Fully approved 2 x 3 bed homes fully subdivideable. I only get one rates notice for it. It is exactly the same cost as other homes I have in the area with the exception that I get a small extra cost for the garbage collection of the second home.

I have 9 titles on one block(PPOR) with one rate notice.
About to go through the process to turn the boat shed into a rental
to help part pay for the huge rates. Will still expect one rate notice.

I have two titles with 1 rates/water notice.

There's a reason though, it was subdivided last May which is apparently too close to July to tell the council and water people a new property exists. We get a pro-rata rent for the extra water meter that is actually a lot higher than we pay for the useable water meter (its statewide flat rate). The rates notice has the same value it did before we started renovating and subdivided.

Hopefully we get our second rate notice by July this year or it is going to be really weird if we sell the house and the new owners get our water bills.
