What are the best site.
I use quickbeds, I know there are many more, can someone please give me some tips on this.

Tripadvisor.com also great to include reviews/photos from past customers and they list the prices for accommodation based on quotes from expedia/agoda/hotels.com etc

I always read reviews on Trip Advisor before making choices. Alot of hotels will match cheapest quotes if you send them the link

+1 on this.

I like to book direct with the hotel if I can once I have worked out the best place to stay for my budget.

Many will offer best price guarantee and a free upgrade if you book online through the hotel direct.
