Achieving wealth through shares...how?

Thanks, I put in the top 5 LIC's and these 2 showed an anomaly

I don't know enough about the chart you are using to tell what that the problem is, but I can tell you that ARG, the second largest LIC on the ASX did not spike 450% over a few days and then resume in normal pattern without anyone noticing. Some corruption in the data for sure :)

Argo 1 year chart, bit of a run up into the divvy.

Sadly or happily no 450% gain.

For all the Thornhill heads..

Classic Thornhill, Switzer has him on twice a year to bang the same drum.

For those that like Thornhills approach, he is a dividend growth investor. There are some great US blogs written by dividend growth investors my 2 favoirites being ;

These guys are Peters North American investing cousins :)
A good read for those looking to take a long term investment approach offshore.

Yahoo charts

Tried a couple of times and had the same issue but only on two of the LIC's :(

a complete newbie here, can I ask questions here about day trading?

or should I start a new thread
You can definitely ask questions but I will say that newbie and day trading shouldn't go together. Whatever you do, try it with paper trading first for a fair while.

Yea, day trading can be dangerous for newbies. Plenty of books and advice around to understand share trading and day trading processes.
