Wow! It was really windy here in Sydney yesterday and this morning, but nothing is coming off...
I gotta know more. Was it a roof hot water service? A tank on the side of the house? How far did it go?
Most important of all, can you stick it back on again, or was it wrecked?

Most important of all, can you stick it back on again, or was it wrecked?

It didnt go far.. I think it wasnt very well attached in the first place.. it was mounted on an external wall, a Bosch instantaneous gas water heater..
The plumber has re-secured it, but he says its just about at the end of its useful life anyhow.

It didnt go far.. I think it wasnt very well attached in the first place.. it was mounted on an external wall, a Bosch instantaneous gas water heater..

An interesting titbit I heard was that hot water heaters only last for
10 years, and you can quite often find out how old the last renovation
was by looking at the year from the hot water heater.
Like many things, it doesn't really stack up, but it's an interested
general idea.
