aggressive tradies !!!

Easy solution for anyone wanting upfront payment: pay by cheque with an advance date.........way easy to place a "stop" if the service you receive is not as expected.....nothing illegal in doing this to cover yourself and ensure you wont be ripped by shonky dealers which are still around...
Sounds good in theory, however if I thought you didn't have the money to pay me until a certain date I would work elsewhere

Puts pressure on tradies to do the job properly I reckon.

No sympathy here.

I've been on the receiving end of very ordinary "professional" work.

I have no sympathy either, you do it right or you don't do it at all.
However I don't believe blackmail is the answer,I wont be a part of it.

I also have been on the receiving end of bad service so most people are in the same boat.
Bad service is everywhere,cafes,restaurants,service stations,accountants,phone/electricity providers,IT,hardware,you name it,

To go back to the issue at hand...

How much of the work, by percentage, has been completed by the tradesmen?

Has the work done to date been done to your satisfaction in terms of:

1. Quality
2. Time
