Any good Buyers Agents in Melbourne?

From: Khurram Saeed

HI All
Khurram here again. I was thinking of using a Buyers Agent, rather then wasting every Sat and Sun on Auctions. I do believe I still will do some due diligence price wise and rental return wise of the area, but it will save me the hassle of going to open for inspections, and auctions EVERY weekend.

I can still go every other weekend but not EVERY weekend.

Has anyone used any Buyers Agents in Melbourne area who specialise in the BAYSIDE suburbs of Melbourne - Elwood, Brighton, Hampton and St Kilda?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Khurram

That's exactly how I felt too, I was driving around attending auctions and inspections every weekend a month ago. Now I am a bit tired of doing that and arranged a meeting with Property Buyer's Network, hoping they will ease a bit of the painful weekend experiences.
From what I understand they charge $1000, of which $300 is non-refundable. They do all the searching for you and you pay the 2% fee on the property they recommmend, and they guarantee it will be at least 10K less than independent valuation otherwise 2% fee is waived. Mark, please correct me if I am wrong.
I will let you know next Monday after the meeting with them, or you can contact them to find out more.

Hi

I can recommend David McMillan. He charges a success based fee - that is, if he doesn't find your property, you don't pay him a cent.

He has very good knowledge and seems very ethical (shock, horror, gasp!)

thanks guys

I will contact these people and see how I go. Also, somebody emailed me and told me that there is another comp. in Melbourne, and apparently the owner wh odoes the search is in the business of Buy/Reno/Sell...so he will know the sort of properties to look for. (i.e. He is an investor as well...i guess that always helps)

Khurram
Thanks once again.
