Architect/Builder in Canbera

From: Manny B

Howdy there,

I have a few questions on behalf of a friend of mine, she has an old home in Canbera, suburb being Ainslie on a block a little over 1000m2. She wanted to know if she can fit 3 units on such a block size? and also if anyone has a good builder and/or architect that knows the area well they could recommend...

Cheers,

Manny.

Hi Manny,

It's my home turf and I have a number of properties in Ainslie. There is a moratorium on developments in Canberra at the moment specifically targeted at dual/tri occs. She can call me if see wishes as I have done a few in this suburb. My web site has the numbers and no I won't charge her for the phone call ;-)

Michael... Why is that? With the rental issues in Canberra, wouldn't
the powers that be want more housing?????

Change of Govt so they are rewriting the rules. They won't stop development but they want to 'control it'. All it means is that development will continue (after the moratorium) within the confines of the new ruler's vision splendid.

Every time there is a change to the rules a new set of opportunities opens up for those who are switched on ;-)
