Are you fat?

The bit that amazed me was the younger American girl about halfway through the clip who, when asked if she knew how she had gotten fat, answered; "I don't know"....

No, not fat. Just have some residual wobbly bits :) (as you expect when you pack on 22kg in 9 months and then take your time losing it)

Interesting all the comments about feeling younger again. Personally, when I'm not pregnant/breastfeeding and having all the energy sucked out of me, I feel much the same as I always have. Wear pretty much the same clothing size (although these days I go for fitted clothes not big baggy t-shirts and turtlenecks which are MUCH harder to find in my size), do much the same stuff as I did when I was 16. Physically the biggest changes are my hair is a lot darker and has grey, 300 billion stretchmarks I picked up in the last week of being pregnant with baby #1, and my feet got 1/4 size bigger with baby #1 which just happened to take me to a perfectly standard shoe size. Babies are trouble. Oh and I 'grew out' of having asthma when I was about 27, which was nice.

Have gone back to my home town 15+ years after finishing school and been stopped on the street by some old looking fat person I don't recognise going "hey, its RumpledElf!" and it turns out that's one of my classmates.

Are you fat?

Fat, feral, a lefty, a latte drinker, a socialist, broke, rich, a capitalist, a greenie, a reddy, a righty, a bigot, a utopian idealist, a sexual deviant, gay, bi, kinky, straight, old, grey, skinny, bald, horny, a hick, a city slicker, wealthy, young, stupid, smart, poor, a sheep, a bull, a goat and happy.

Human conversation is largely an endless attempt to convince others that we are more assertive or clever or generous or successful than they might think if we did not carefully educate them. --John Ortberg

Welcome back, you freak.

Ive lost 22kg in the last 2 years and now weigh 82kg. Hoping to slowly get to 70kg but no real rush.

I had an ultrasound this week due to abdominal pain and nothing much came up, except the fact that I have a fatty liver! I was pretty shocked to say the least, considering my weight loss ! Im wondering now how fat my liver was when I weighed 104kg !!

So again, Im looking at my diet. Will need to add even more fruit and veg.

Apparently most overweight people have a fatty liver which in the long term can cause alot of liver problems....

Fat itself holds all the toxins in the body, period. The first step is to get rid of any excess fat, which will help you detox.

If the liver is damaged or not functioning properly, your body is slowly poisoning itself as the liver is responsible for cleaning blood and clears toxins out of the body, hence why drinking and smoking is terrible for health.

We have two kidneys, but only one liver, look after it.

PS no offense but 82 KG is still way too much for a woman, unless you are 6'5. Keep shedding till you get to 55-60 KG.

How tall are you?

Yeah, that would be why she said she will keep on getting rid of weight. Maybe 55 is underweight for her, which can be just as bad for your health as overweight.

Drinking is actually not that bad in moderation - ya know, a glass of red wine a day kind of thing.

And an interesting snippet I heard the other day - those with a BMW of 25/26 - i.e. just slightly overweight actually have the longest life span. Thought it was interesting.

People have different builds, ignoring height you have to take bone structure into account when working out an ideal weight. Personally I'm fat at 55kg, my normal range is 50-53. Below 50 I look rather gaunt and tend to catch every airborne disease going around and get REALLY sick from it.

And on the contrary, I am 6 foot tall, very athletic, have body fat in the low 20s and I weigh 76kg. I last weighed 55kg when I was 13!
