B&P inspection for brand new units

Hi all

I have searched the forum and found peoples recommendations regarding B&P for established units but nothing for new units.

We are currently under contract and have 14 days to do a B&P on a new unit. My question is:

Do we need to get such an inspection done ?

Has anybody had one done on purchasing new and was it worthwhile ?

Thanks
Tex:)

I have sometimes found more things wrong on new units than established one.

Check everything including the brand of fittings promised vs the ones installed.

Testing for correct operation of hot water, lights, powerpoints, taps, stovetop, ovens etc is a must - way too late once a tenant moves in and finds there's no hot water and no aerial for their tv.

Cheers,

The Y-man
