Bathroom before and after

Hi All,

Im new to the forum but have been lurking for a while. Its a great place to learn heaps from the experts!

To add my bit I have photos of our recent bathroom reno. This is our PPOR. We are also in the middle of a small extension - extra living area plus new kitchen. It is a 3 bedda, late 70's house.

I bought it a number of years ago (2005ish) to get my foot in the door but since then prices have not moved and was a little off putting as a youngster ready to make millions in real estate!! I bought at the end of the last Syd boom it has taught me how the real estate moves and how different areas move at different times. At the time I was working in Bondi and tossing up between a small unit out there, hindsight shows me that would have been the better option!! all good though, the market is now moving, plus the renos should get us ready for more IPs!

We originally had plans to knock down the wall to the toilet to make a bigger bathroom but in the end we made a few other minor changes to get the extra room. The shower was tiny (700x700) so I knocked out the wall into the laundry behind so that it is skinny but long. On the original house plans this was how it was to be built. Works great and only meant minor plumbing works.

We got all the materials online - ebay. I did the demo and built the wall plus gyprock, re-did the ceiling (The walls were still good)

We got a bathroom/tiler guy in to do the install as we had a 3 month old at the time!! I knocked my bit over in a weekend and a bit and the install was 6 days for one guy.

Finished product. Shower screen is a framless glass one.

Taps fittings and other bits are now finished too. Need to find a "completly finished photo"
