Body Corporate Manager Recommendations

I'm an owner occupier in a block of 18 units in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. I'm extremely unhappy with my current body corporate managers and am looking at replacing them.

I know I'll have the backing of the other owners but am concerned that another manager will be just as problematic (not passing on information promptly, not getting sufficient quotes for works required and then getting quotes for things that don't need doing etc). Does anyone have any managers they would recommend I contact for a tender, or conversely, any firms that I should avoid at all costs?
