Calling Dale.

Dale,
Can the cost of buying a tin of paint to paint over a wall after the wall has been patched and repaired from tenant damage, be claimed as repair or cap expense?

Happy Investing,
Rixter :)

Rixter,
I'm not Dale, but if you will allow me, I suggest this is all part of the repair job.
I would claim it as repairs if it was my IP.

Cheers,
Thorpey

G'day

I'm with Thorpey. The repair job isn't complete if the wall has been patched but not re painted.

Hi guys!

It sure is a part of the repair to bring the wall back to its original state and so yes, it is a tax deduction.

Have fun

Dale
