Can a property be both a PPR and IP?

I have an IP with my sister which is currently earning rental income and I am wondering if I can move into the house for a while and treat it as my PPR and rent out a room which would still provide rental income to my sister and therefore still be an IP from her perspective. I do not currently own a PPR and was looking to live in the house if I get transfered to the city the house is in. Any thoughts on if a property can be treated differently by the 2 owners?
