Can I avoid stamp duty ?

iHello - I probably know the answer willl be ' not possible ' but can I avoid paying stamp duty (NSW) and obtain 1st Home buyers grant by having the ownership of a property in my daughters name (18) ? I presume she would have to be the borrower which she is not . Thanks for any answers

We plan to buy this investment ( ie borrow the money ) but wondered if we can have it in her name as owner and she lives in it and pays all the bills etc can we claim 1st home buyers grant AND void the stamp duty
 
I get the impression you are buying the property for you, but in your daughters name? Keep in mind that if you do go ahead with this plan, it means your daughter wont be able to get the grant when she goes to purchase a property of her own.
