Carl Williams dead.

Its gotta be nurture. People aren't born like that. They are taught (nurtured)

I think definately nurture too.

Parents play a huge role but there're other factors that create the person too, like how they get on with others (social skills), the different experiences and the persons perception of them, the perceptions they create of themselves, what they're exposed to, etc, etc. You could go on and on with the many reasons.

Pushka, mostly nice parents raise nice kids but sometimes they don't teach the necessary skills that help children steer their way successfully through life. I think that's when other negative factors come into play.

You've got to have all the bad ingredients to be a disaster and the right ones for success. Most people are somewhere in between.

Funnily I've only just finished reading 'Born or Bred ? - Martyn Bryant: the making of a mass murderer.

And I would say that the way people relate to others is nature - not something learned. And this then influences the way others react with them. Of course, socialisation is important but it can only socialise (ie moderate or 'train') what is already in existence.

More than half of the reason why we have sch series as Underbelly 1 right through to Underbelly 3 is because of corrupt cops.

Carl got murdered because he knew a fair bit more than an average drug dealer...

Seriously, an inmate murdered and left to die for 25 minutes alone in a MAXIMUM security prison in Victoria? Please... it's an inside job.

PS: the guy who murdered him, obviously he should never see the light of day... and all security inside Barwon prison should be sacked and never be allowed to work in any prisons, period.

Carl was a killer, but if we are going to have this kind of crap in maximum security prisons, I can only imagine what happens to people that know too much in every day life.
