Carpet layer Canberra

can anyone recommend a decent carpet layer in Canberra? Or any to stay away from? I have a good one in Cooma, but were not happy with the seams and stretching done by the last one we used in Canberra. It is only a small job too - just laying new carpet over existing underlay and smoothedge at a 1br unit. The cream wool carpet has been a disaster with stains. Bring on the solution dyed nylon.

I would recommend Michael Riches 0417 263 488. We used him to lay carpet in our house in Higgins. He charged us about $140 per room from memory, and laid each room separately as we finished renovating each one by one.

I have an employee who has a father who is a carpet layer. But he has work booked for months ahead. So you may find a shortage.

Your best bet would probably be to get the carpet installed by the carpet shop you are going to buy from- choose one of the reputable ones.
