For all u renovators
Whats the best way of adding a single carport
- goal is to add value, and rent, being sympathetic to the style of the building - old villa, sloped floor

i have no handyman skills!
ring the guys from stratco or one of their dealers to install one - i was quoted a rough cost of 5000. May look a bit tacked on.

2. get some architect advice, pay them to design and organise tradesmen - they tender it to the best price - no idea how much this would cost. They organise all approvals, water drainage. Bullnose design - cant get as a kit, and would fit better to the house.

3. get a draftsman?
4. flat roof el cheapo wood top, maybe 1500k?

anyone have experience with this?
the carport should add 20 extra rent/wk

The aim is to add extra value too?
the rear of the carport may hinder some light into a rear window, perhaps clear materials need to be used toward the back of it.

see the article by David de Moor in one of the more recent API magazines about carports. I think he puts em up with coppers logs and some type of sheeting. Cost about $1200 from memory....
