Cash management accounts/Term deposits

Hi all,

I have recently sold a number of shares and want to use the money to offset part of my interest payments. My preference was to establish an offset account against one of my loans, however my loans are fixed and the break fees are substantial.

The alternative is to park the funds in a high interest cash management account or term deposit. I have found a number that will earn around 8% which would be suitable. These include Bank West Term deposits and a Cash management account with St George yielding around 8.10%. I believe this offer is short term and lasts until 30 November.

Do others know of any high yielding accounts that may be suitable for my purpose?

Regards Jason.

Term Deposit

Hi Jingo
Westpac is currently offering 8% for 5 years fixed term. This will suit you if your fixed home loan has 5 years to go. They also offer other terms as well. With subprime loan crisis in US I will be more comfortable with Westpac than BankWest

Good Luck
