Can anybody help with the state of places such as DYSART, Collinsville, Alpha and Emerald with respect to any mining lay offs and the current state of mining housing leases being terminated or renegociated..

Any further news on this post?

I have a little experience of the coal mines in this area and seems a few contracts have been lost in the Blackwater region.... Not sure if they will now be going up but think it may take a while - ie once the FX rates come down and coal is cheaper to buy in US$....

I ahve been keeping an eye on the news up that way and all apears to be hunky dory with almost record amount of ships waiting to load and plenty of gas discoveries.
Some employers reporting upto 90 vacancies.

Have made offers on 3 properties 2 unsuccessfull be today was a good result near new home with tenant and approx 10% return.
