Charged for Trades Apprentice

Why don't you just call the boss and discuss it with him in a reasonable manner?

May be as simple as a disconnect between who did the quote and who wrote the invoice up.

No point making things bigger in your head until they need to be.

How dare you come up with a plausible account of the situation and a reasonable solution.

No Kudos for you! :p

Did 3 get it done any quicker than two?

Not materially no. And even if he did assist in a way that saved a bit of time for the two other guys, the $200 bill for his time is 2 hours of a full techs charge rate, I doubt he saved 2 hours of their time.

Thanks for the feedback. I fully plan to call them up, I wanted to ascertain if charging for apprentices on top of trades when not advised prior was the norm/acceptable, it appears not.

That's complete bs

If they say two guys four hours each for example you should get a bill for 8 hours at the full rate, none of this 8 hours plus half an apprentice

If he needs an extra pair of hands to finish then hr should have quoted it

Complete bs

Has happened to me before as well
