    Hello SS,

Just wondering, if i'm thinking of buying a commercial site, actually its a shop front within a residential building, ground floor, how would i find out what the past sale of this property was, are there any similar tools like RP data where i can find the historical sale price?

Thank you in advance for your information to above post.

    What difference does it make?

Past performance is not an indication of future returns.

If in doubt, consult a valuer

Yes your right, it makes no difference, especially when one is looking to buy it as a owner occupier.

I guess where i was trying to look at it from the perspective that if the property was purchased for X, and the market has moved at Y, then this might be a reasonable asking price, considering there has been no other variables with the location where the property is located, ie no additional foot traffic or other big brands surrounding the premises.

As this is a first within my portfolio, hence the amatuer question.

    Thank you
