how do i work out what rent my commerical property prop should be achieving ?

find it hard to research what rents similar properties are achieving.

I'm very interested in all responses too. I asked a leasing agent when he was on site and all he said was "the highest you can". What the?... isn't that your job?

Pay for a valuation if you are really keen.

Although any decent agent should be able to give you a run down of recent comparable deals in the market.
