Connection to vacant block in Bendigo

Hi all,
Can anyone give me any info on the costs of connecting gas/water etc to a vacant block in Bendigo? I have heard anywhere between $25,000 - $100,000, there is power on the block next door, will that make it cheaper?
I would appreciate any information.
Thanks.

Hi,

It depends on a lot of items but $100k sounds crazy. For developments, where you are building a road, bringing in power from a close by spot and pulling in sewer/water/telstra/gas/elec then its ~$25k.

Let me know how you go.

Cheers

Ben

It really depends if the services already exist in the street. If they don't then it probably will be pretty expensive to get connected but if you already have power, phone line, water, gas, sewer and stormwater running past the property then it shouldn't be too bad.
Check with your local utility companies, they should be able to tell you if they are already there.
I recently had a quote for a new gas service for $220 for a standard connection.
Another property was rewired and required a private pole and this cost $1800 including new wires from across the street.
Hope this helps.
