Cost to install a separate electricity for granny flat

Has anyone asked an electrician to install a new electricity wiring from main street plus an independent switch box before?
How much will it cost?
My granny flat is connected with a single wire to main house's switch box and it constantly got tripped off.
Hot water system, lights, oven, TV and all other appliance in the granny flat are supplied by this single wire.

Thanks in advance.

I think it cost me close to $1k a number of years ago just to connect a meter.

I don't know if a separate wire from the street is needed- that depends on the distance. It may be done from the meter box. A spark can advise.

If you don't measure the electricity you can't pass on the charges. It's probably worth spending the money just for that. Charges can mount up especially during winter.

Not separate wire, just one big enough to carry currents(?) for 2 properties.

Level 1 electrician does it from meter box to granny flat;
Level 2 electrician does it from meter box to street.
