Cracks in walls!!

We have found a potential unit that we'd like to purchase but having viewed the place have found most of the walls have cracks in them. Not small ones but very big cracks. The agent has said it would cost around $6k to fix but as we can't take his word for it need to get independent advice. Who do we go to for a quote on how much it will cost to repair and if anyone could recommend anyone in the Perth area that would be great.

If its a strata unit, then the body corporate should pay. Regardless I would walk away unless its very under market value, as you dont want to to be coughing up special levies to repair if there are insufficient monies to do the repair, or multiple lots need repair.

If the foundations have failed it could be a nightmare...ask him how he came up with the 6k?
