Hi all, received letter from ANZ today stating that my Qantas Frequent Flyer Credit cards will now be capped for earning points.

Max of 3000 points for Visa and 3000 points for Amex each month.

Has anyone researched best Credit Card to earn points with Qantas ?

I have platinum Bank West MasterCard, last time I checked the limit was 250,000 points, it may be 122,00 now just Google it, and I too was upset not knowing there were limits when I went past it!
Also offers, free international travel insurance, no foreign transaction fees on online purchases!

I just applied for a new St George Amplify Signature card, and they have approved and credited me 60000 Qantas frequent flyer points, and the card earns points at a rate of 1.5 per dollar spent on Australian merchants, and 3 points per dollar spent on overseas merchants. It also provides travel insurance and some other stuff I likely won't use (e.g. concierge services).

Fee is $279 per year.

Curious if you have loans with them and are on their advantage pack, you might get the yearly fee waived if so.
