Depreciation Schedules

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some advice. I normally purchase off the plan properties from developers/builders. These have always come with depreciation schedules. I've now come across a two unit development that's about to commence. It's being built by a small time builder and hasn't got a depreciation schedule to show me. This is a 'must-have' pair of properties in an area 5km from Melbourne's cbd and I know they'll do well. How do I get a depreciation schedule for them? The builder himself has no idea, and I do want to see one before I sign the dotted line. What do I need to get from him?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers, from a 28 year old new comer who's retiring in 7 years...

Thanks all!

Dave

You can arrange one by contacting a Quantity Surveyor. Look at the Yellow Pages to find one.

Regards.
