Divorce solicitor in Adelaide

I met with a new vendor client today who has so much energy tied up in an unhappy marriage that is not working for her.

Really needs to disconnect and has asked me for a referral to a divorce solicitor in Adelaide!
Now that is not someone I have on my list of connections.

Can anyone recommend a good one they have used recently?

There are millions of dollars of wealth to deal with - most was hers before this partner walked into her life!

I don't know any in SA specifically, but I would be fairly comfortable going to any legal practice that extensively practiced in family law.

Apart from that, its probably more important to just have a lawyer or lawyers that you as the client are comfortable with.

Good legal people usually know who the other good legal people are, I would ask one of your contacts who they would get if they were being divorced.

ahaha sounds like too much trouble. I would suggest calling the law society and ask for a couple of names of people who specialise in Family Law.

I agree, but sometimes one party will do anything they can to get everything. A good friend of mine is currently going through a divorce, her ex is practically on the war path. They're in court today to sort out a a restraining order because he was physically threatening her and had her under surveillance, phone hacking, etc.

I strongly suggest that you don't just google a divorce lawyer in Adelaide. I know 2 people going through divorces over there and the lawyers are not equal. One I know just got some random lawyer and the other sides lawyer creamed them. I'll try to find out who that was.

The other party had a great lawyer but got dumped as a client because the lawyer moved into the other sides law firm

Interesting how the woman having the money before the marriage hasn't brought out the usual rubbish about "money grubbing women wanting it all" and screwing the man over that generally comes with this sort of thread... *sound of crickets*
