anyone out there who knows of any of the banks or lending institutions that will lend interest only for long term loans eg. 25 years. Commonwealth bank will only offer interest only over a period of 5 years.

I know Aussie Home Loans offer a IO loan for up to 20 years.

Hi,

At the end of the interest only 5 years renegotiate with your bank to get another 5 years interest only. they should be only too willing to help. If not walk into another lender.

By that time you should have significant equity in the property anyway.
