Double garage in front yard in Brisbane

Hi all. Can someone please help me, my block in Kedron was a small lot 536m and 13mtr frontage but now that the small lot code has changed to less than 450m mine is now classed as a standard block. My question is can I now put a double garage in the front yard. I read something last night on the council website which said 6mtr garage or 50% of the block width which ever is smaller. To me that means I can. Any help appreciated.
 
Not sure. I rang the council last week to ask questions and was told I am probably better off ringing a private town planner. Thought I would try here first

I checked all that out and I don't think they will affect me to much.
I also checked the Qld development code which gives setbacks etc but driving around there are houses with them in their front yards. Can you apply for relaxations? What is the best way to find out what I can do?
