Dual-living house or normal 3-2-2, 4-2-1

Hi all,

I have a exiting 3-1-1 house on a big block, which can be subdivided. So i am planning to build the second house, the living area would be 160m2 plus garage.

I have a 20 years old son living with us. He always makes mess in the kitchen, and never tidies it up. Most of days, comes home at midnight.... very often I thought it could be good to have a dual-living house (he has his own living area, own entrance and kitchen, so we can get less interrupt from him.

Not decide if we moving in after it's built, but the house sell price will be the key... If the building space is make for dual living, it would be less space for the main living area (no family room?).....

What do you think of dual-living property? Is it easy to sell compare to normal 4-2-2 or 3-2-2?

Any thoughts?

More and more children are delaying the time leaving home... is the dual-living house getting more popular in the future?
