Evidence of inspecting to an IP?

Self manage an IP in VIC for 3 years, as previous owner rented it for 2 years, and then his sister moved in. I viewed the IP once or twice a year.

Asked the tenant to written evidence for my visiting each time, but this year I could not found them anywhere.

Can I still claim the tax for the visiting?

Is this a trip from Canberra to Vic? If so, are there any credit card or bank statements showing activity in Vic during the time? I’m not an accountant so I’m not 100% sure if this would constitute sufficient evidence.

Only start using credit card recently, a few month ago, mostly use cash ; -(

Is the signed contract an evidence?
