While I don't discourage superannuation I found this very interesting. My wife received the following statement from her Super fund on 2002 performance.
This is why we've created a self managed super-fund.
Growth (before CPI)
Cash 3.42%
Capital Stable 0.44%
Balanced -2.15%
Growth -4.79%
Equity Growth -9.16%
Equity Growth Sustainable -7.47%
This is B4 CPI but after 0.5% management fee
These are the options for investing your superfund that you get to choose from.
Would you like to contribute extra to this super fund ;-)
