Got this DVD out from my local library - a brilliant documentary worth watching. It is all about mass rapid urbanization - a trend happening pretty much in every country in the world at the moment.
It looks at ways to improve public space, the trend to get cars off of the road and replaced by open public spaces etc.
The insight for me as an investor personally, in regards to urban property investing, is that transport nodes are and will continue to reign supreme. People want to 'enjoy and truly be alive' in their cities. To achieve this, cars need to go, and public transport, cycling, and walking, needs to enter.
