First Home Buyer/Investor - advice please

Hello

I have just joined as I am a prospective first home buyer who intends to learn as much as I can before diving into the deep end. I am a "mature" first home buyer with limited resources. I am NOT looking for "get rich quick" deals! I aim to learn and work hard towards achieving my goal of home ownership and a modest level of financial security.

Would you kindly steer me towards trusted professional/s who can give me advice/mentoring on how to take my first steps? I know there is a dearth of published resources but would like to find advisers with whom I can brainstorm as well on property, tax and legal issues.

Well done on making the decision.

The very first thing I always do is investigate finance options. Have a meeting with your chosen financial organisation or mortgage broker and discover exactly how much you can afford to borrow and repay.

That way you won't be wasting time looking at properties out of your price range.
