Can anyone tell me if they are using or know of any bank or lending institution that offer fixed interest only loans for more than 5 years. Say 10 years

Fernando,

National bank are offering a 10 year rate at the moment for 7.76%.

A couple of months ago the 10 year rate was
8.07%.

If we get another cut in rates it might just drop again

Hi Fernando

Most of the majors will do 10 years fixed. Not commonly advertised though.

Marina - the NAB fixed loan is PI, not IO. (unless you found one that does 10yr IO)

Hi Pierre,

A seminar I went to told us about Nab and their 10 year fixed rate.

The nab don't really advertise it as a interest only rate, but it can be done.

The presenter said that they will do it at interest only, but you need to be determined and really push the issue with them.

The presenter also said that he fixes some of his loans for 10 years interest only without a problem.

Thanks everyone for their input, but this morning i went into my local newsagent and picked up a copy of Your Mortgage magazine, and in the back they list all the different lenders and what loans they offer.

Hi Fernando

Yes YMM lists lots of lenders and loans, but this is not an exhaustive list and I would think if a lender does not pay they do not get listed ?
