Forum running like a herd of turtles !!

G'day folks,

I reckon it's NOT me - I have 2 different ISP's and both exhibit the same symptom. Today (12 Mar 2006) the forum seems to take TEN times longer than usual to load/refresh.

Any ideas? Sim? Anything going on at the back end?

Regards,

Mine has been slow for the last few days, but today just has to take the cake. It feels like it did when I had dial up a few years ago.

Yep, There was a DoS attack on one of the servers shooting up the bandwidth utilisation this morning. The network engineer put a cap on the traffic at the moment, but I have asked them to lift the cap now. Thanks.

Say wha.. ??

Thanks Dunc,
the collective noun for a gathering of turtles is either a bale, a dule or a nest
But if I'd said any of the those, there'd be a collective "Huh?" from several people (including me :D )
I wonder if that would then create a "confusion of Huh's" - (collectively speaking),

But it could've been worse (based on other collective nouns):-
A parliament of turtles
A pride of turtles
A murder of turtles

I would've thought that a "yawn of turtles" would be far more appropriate ;)

Sheesh, I hope they don't pay the people who invent these collective nouns too much - they don't deserve it :p

Regards,

Hey Muppie,

Better get him to do it again then .... :p
