Anyone who is experiencing slow load times for the forum, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me what ISP you are using and which state you are located in.

Also, if you know how - I'd like to see a traceroute from your machine to somersoft.com (tracert command on Windows).

I suspect that there is some network congestion somewhere on one of the local ISP networks.

I'm with Internode and things are lightning quick here as usual.

Also, from a quick look at the Whirlpool broadband forums, it seems that Optus is suffering badly from both local and international congestions, while Telstra seems to have some international congestions as well right now.

Sim its been slow since about yesterday morning from telstra nextg mobile (my iphone and pad) where other sites load quick. But on my office internode business dsl its fast

Sounds like a routing path from certain isps, i can run some traces from a bunch of isps tomorrow if that assists?

It would only be out of interest to isolate the issue ... nothing we can do about network congestion or routing problems.

FYI - the servers are in Tokyo ... so if you can find other websites also in that location - it would be interesting to see how they compare. Doesn't mean they all necessarily use the same network path though - so results still could be different.

It's a little scary that your network connection from the Sunshine Coast goes Brisbane - Sydney - Melbourne - Adelaide - Perth - Japan.

Surprised it doesn't stop in Canberra, Hobart and Darwin too! :p

Ping times are a bit slow too - over 400ms to the final hop ... consequence of such a circuitous route I guess :(

I bet you get good ping times to the west coast of the US though ... you would probably have preferred I locate the servers in California.
