Hi all,

No, No , No, I'm not advertising them just questioning them.

Got the initial phone call last week and then the follow up call telling me about the free seminar where ,when etc, and the chance to win the free holiday in the draw just for attending etc. It's about helping Australiansachieve financial freedom etc. My Bull**** meter began to rise.

Went along of course(it's free), sure enough they scare people about no pension in future, stockmarket no good, then turn to property investment.

Next they show how good -ve geared NEW property is so much better than +ve geared older houses and make up some figures to prove their point.( My Bull**** meter was in overdrive by this time).

Next they organize to come to your own home to do a free financial assessment and organize if you like a free trip to a REA who specialises in IP's.

Well I just gotta bite and of course I will be as truthful with them as they are with me. Will keep you informed as to how they operate.

Of course I could be completely wrong about Guardianplus and if anyone knows anything about them please post.

But if it looks like a rat, smells like a rat then it is probably a ***.

I wonder if and when the property cycle begins to move southward that these property 'gurus' become sharemarket gurus.

I think most of them move with the current trends and offer fodder to the masses

I remember during the stockmarket boom there was such an influx of sharemarket courses on the Radio.

This isn't a course, It smells like 2 tiered marketing which wouldn't work in the stockmarket.I'm going to play along and see where they try to lead me.

Interesting mix of people at the talk last night, not the business owners of town, more like people who don't know anything about investment. I've already phoned a couple of people I saw there to warn them of what I think is happening. Makes me wonder why they thought I was gullable enough to qualify, hmmm.

Funny how they didn't allow a question time in front of the whole audience.

That reminds me, I better go hide all those investment books and API mags before they come around for my free financial assessment.

Thanks for the heads up Phil, and I've been following the Jenman apology thread as well.

None of the warnings of legal action will stop me from telling the truth, but I will be careful. I wonder if I should tape the free financial assessment I get. Probably opens other cans of worms.

I am still interested in others experience with Guardianplus as I don't see anything about them on the net except their own web site, and google didn't even find that! Maybe the presenter last night just didn't communicate what their company is all about very well

Ps. Good luck to anyone who successfully sues me as there are not many assets in MY name. though I will try to play nice.
