Hi Pedro,

read your old post about the draftsman in Mackellar who helped you with your granny flat application. Do you still have his name and contact details as I am contemplating buying a property in Canberra with a large old garage that looks ripe for converting to a granny flat but is at present unapproved. Please help if you can!

Start by finding out whether or not you can do the conversion. The chances are you can't- some multiple occupancy regs have been tightened up. ACTPLA in Dickson can help you out there.

After you've found that out I may be able to get Pedro to give you an answer. He's since sold that property.
