We put some fake grass out the front of our old PPOR - pretty happy with how it turned out.
But it did require some occasional maintenance!

people do have them for sale. but will I need to buy additional food or will the lawn grass be enough? (450-500m^2 of grass area.)
How many people do you personally know who have a pet goat to keep their lawn down?
Perhaps do a poll on how many SS have a goat too?

Unless you have other animals such as dogs who don't each much grass but still poo.
Thats exactly why im asking... how does it deal with dog poop?
Normally you scoop what you can, the rise away. Being grass it just absorbs into the dirt... what happens in the case of fake grass?
Not sure sorry. I would assume it would be similar as the fake grass is still very porous so still able to hose stuff in or through it to the dirt.
Our whole yard is pebbles so similar where we pick up what we can otherwise the rest washes through the the weed mat / dirt underneath. Only issue is the wee stinks after a while if it doesn't rain regularly.

So I thought too before moving here. We had nearly 3 months of hardly any rain and were put on water restrictions!

Yeah, it's an Asset. Not much different in functionality from carpet, really. Has a shorter Effective Life, though, because it's outside in the weather.
