Was thinking about different ways that we gather information on a property which we are interested in. Little things like which assist you to work out how much you would pay or even if you would put the property on the maybe list.
How do you work out land size?
Building structure, brick veneer, timber frame, steel frame, double brick, stone?
Timber floors or concrete slab?
Timber floors worth polishing when carperted at open inspection?
Do you get a pest inspector OR just look for pest activity yourself?
Do you get building inspection OR just look at eves, cracks, etc yourself?
We went and looked at a property that was advertised as larger land area than it truely had, agent had stuffed up. We got the land size off the net via gov dept.
Bought a steel frame house once and didn't know it was steel until we went to fix some gyprock. Hadn't thought about it.
