Generating Income

From: James Wollaston

Okay IP sports fans,

Being an avid supporter of the "never, never, ever (not now, not tomorrow, not later) sell" school of property investing I am curious about the approach of others towards generating an income out of this strategy.

I understand that if the gods of capital growth are kind to you that in say 5-10 years time your average IT contractor (;-p) can expect to be sitting on 2-5 million? worth of property assets. So is the end game here - sleeping in on Monday mornings - dependant on your properties steadily becoming cash positive (if they weren't slightly already) or the selective investment of some of the now copious equity into some interest bearing vehicle - eek, managed fund? - or something else?
