Giving notice to terminate property management agreement

I had given notice to terminate my existing property management with my managing agent, sent by email and also a hand delivered letter. Is this sufficient? They never responded to acknowledge receipt.

You need to read the agreement entered into.

If terminating within terms of agreement, let the agency taking over deal with the transition from current agency. If current PM is so slack they have overlooked your notice, they will find out when new agency contacts them. Provide new agency with copy of termination letter so they can produce this as confirmation. Also advise current agent who will be contacting them and give copy to new agent.
