Heating/Cooling for a triple storey

I'm currently looking at building a townhouse that will initially be an investment but I plan to move in at a later stage. I've been told that evap/refrig cooling & ducted heating may not be possible/inefficient in a triple storey. Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone shed some light on the matter?

thank you

you'll need a way for the hot air to escape, both from inside the house and in the roof space. also make sure you use anticon or similar in addition to batts, even the polyaire 7.0 is pretty good at reflecting radiant heat

you'll always have the fact that it is harder to heat the upstairs than downstairs issue but getting the basics right will make a huge difference.

basics include orientation and appropriate shading on E+W facing walls and windows etc

get those basics wrong and your aircon will forever be fighting against an inefficient hot box
