And that is why i am going to retire and spend half a year in Malaysia in future (on the Golden Passport thingy!)

I know someone on this forum is already doing that and based in KL and Penang

there are a lot of benefits doing that - no tax on cars, ability to purchase housing, maids with all visas approved, ability to open business etc.

If I were to do it again I would buy a seat for the baby rather than having her on one of our laps. Wriggle central for 9 hrs each way sucks.

8 hours actually to malaysia - 9 could get you to thailand.
