Home loan applications/approvals were down in August for the first time in six months. It will be interesting to see the September figures when they are released.

If you want to use apprentice employment as a barometer - one Western Sydney TAFE has over 100 less enrolments (1st yr electricians) this compared to last year. ie from 16 classes to 6
